Privacy Policy

We collect:

• Account information, such as your name and email address, and login details managed by our authentication provider. We do not store your password.
• League information you provide, such as your league or club name, branding, seasons, divisions, venues, and settings.
• Team and member information that organisers enter, such as team and player names and email addresses.
• Match information, such as fixtures, scores, ladders, and results.
• Payment information when you subscribe or pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive limited details such as your billing status, but we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage and technical information, such as log data, device and browser type, and how you interact with the Service, collected to run and improve it.
• Information from cookies and similar technologies needed to keep you signed in and to provide features such as live chat.

We use personal information to:

• provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• create and manage accounts and leagues;
• display public league pages, ladders, schedules, and results;
• send notifications such as match reminders and results where they are enabled;
• process payments and manage subscriptions;
• provide support and respond to you;
• keep the Service secure and prevent misuse;
• meet our legal obligations.

Email reminders and results are an optional feature controlled by league organisers. If you receive them, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email. Organisers are responsible for only adding contacts they are permitted to contact.

League organisers can add information about their members, including names and email addresses. For that information, the organiser decides how it is used and is responsible for having the right to provide it. We process it on the organiser's behalf to provide the Service. If you are a league member with a question about your information, please contact your league organiser first.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• with service providers who help us run the Service, including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Anthropic (the AI assistant), and PostHog (product analytics);
• as published through public features you or your organiser choose to use, such as public league pages and widgets;
• where required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public;
• as part of a business sale or transfer, where the recipient agrees to protect the information.

Some information is public by design. League pages, ladders, schedules, results, and team and club names can be viewed by anyone and indexed by search engines. Please do not enter sensitive information into these features.

We use trusted providers to store and process data. Some of them, and therefore some of your information, may be located or processed outside Australia, including in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to your information being handled in this way, subject to this policy and applicable law.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep personal information while your account or league is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your information, and we will do so unless we are required or permitted by law to keep it.

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, email us at hello@matchtally.com. If you are concerned about how we have handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

The Service is not directed at children under 16. If an organiser adds information about a minor, the organiser must have the authority and any consent required to do so. If you believe we hold a child's information without proper consent, contact us and we will address it.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and provide features such as live chat. You can control cookies through your browser, but some features may not work without them.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date at the top when we do, and we will take reasonable steps to tell you about material changes.
